EVENT: The Ban

 In the wake of the in-ring death of MMA fighter Tim Hague during a boxing match, the City of  Edmonton banned all combat sports--including pro wrestling--in December 2018

The ban lasted two and a half months, until February 2018.

In November 2018, the city made pro wrestling exempt from the Edmonton Combative Sports Commission.
